Super Eagles escape World Cup disqualification! fined for fielding ineligible player against Algeria

Image
Following the recent meeting of the Disciplinary Committee, FIFA can today confirm the latest sanctions imposed for incidents that occurred during the preliminary competition for the FIFA World Cup™ as well as in international friendlies. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been sanctioned for fielding an ineligible player in the match between Algeria and Nigeria on 10 November 2017. The match is declared to be forfeited and awarded 3-0 in favour of Algeria, with the NFF also receiving a fine of CHF 6,000. The sanction relates to the player Abdullahi Shehu failing to serve the automatic one-match suspension imposed on him as a result of receiving a caution in two separate matches of the same competition. This sanction bears no impact on the final result of the preliminary competition for the FIFA World Cup since Nigeria had already qualified (and Algeria eliminated) before the match took place. However, the sanction has no significant impact on the three-time African ...

Old Rivalry ignited after Manchester Derby! Mourinho and Guardiola throw subtly digs at each other!

Image
The two men used their Tuesday press conferences to blame each other for Sunday's tunnel bust-up, in which punches and bottles were thrown Jose Mourinho was late for his Manchester United press conference on Tuesday afternoon. Nothing out of the ordinary there, you might think, but as one journalist at Carrington put it: "The cynical might suggest he's waiting to see what Pep Guardiola, whose press conference is under way, says first on the Old Trafford tunnel bust-up." With Mourinho, you can never be too cynical. By the time he took his seat, his Manchester City counterpart had indeed given his thoughts on the tunnel row which has overshadowed Sunday's Manchester derby. It afforded him the chance to weigh up his response and fire back, and he did so. Guardiola, himself no slouch in the press conference stakes, kicked things off; he may not have shed any light on who threw the punches and the bottles, but he did give the distinct impression that United were the...

The hosts took the lead through Theo Walcott, who recovered from missing a penalty to slot home just 69 seconds later, but Jurgen Klopp's side stormed back as a Philippe Coutinho brace and strikes from Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane proved enough to seal the points. Rio 2016 (humour) :Olympic Divers Totally Looked Naked on TV and the Internet Approved

Image
Is naked diving the next Olympic sport? From the looks of these photos, we can only hope. If they can have cane fighting and tug-of-war in the Olympic Games back in the day, there is no reason why they can't incorporate a little skinny dipping into the mix today. If you haven't been keeping up, a very funny thing happened at the Olympics the other day during a men's diving event. You know that little bar of text that shows up on your TV screen to indicate the athlete's name and stats? It accidentally acted as an unnecessary censor bar, giving the illusion that the divers were competing in the buff. The Internet, which quickly approved of the hilarious images being broadcast, snapped pics of their TV's in response.

RIO 2016: Ryan Lochte's Hair Tuns Green From Olympic Pool's Chlorine

Image
The Team USA swimmer, as well as teammate Jimmy Feigen , bleached their hair prior to heading to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, but it seems their hairstylist forgot to mention the crucial fact that the chlorine would dye their hair green! Lochte, who won a gold medal alongside Michael Phelps in the 4x200m relay race, showed how much his hair had transformed since arriving in Rio while posing with their new medals. Even by following the photos on his Instagram, Lochte inadvertently has shown the subtle transition from platinum blonde to a pale shade of green. While it might not be as green as The Joker, Lochte's locks are becoming a look in their own right. When he first decided to change the hue of his hair, Lochte seemed eager to show it off. But now that he's won more gold medals, perhaps he'll view his hair as a lucky charm—and continue to do so should he choose to return to the Olympic games in the future. Whether he was doing it for team sp...

LOL: Message from Football lovers to their girlfriends

Image
Dear girlfriends , It has been 4 months since you took over the remote control and lavished yourself with telemundo , other soap channels and took the centre stage of our weekends. Because of our unending love, we have supported you and have had to learn the names of actors in most of the soaps including the episodes. We Even escorted you to those shopping erands and made us sit in cars like small boys .while you ran from one shop to another. We sat at a nearby car wash or bar while you where doing your hair. This was serious sacrifice from us. Since we have lived on the principal of doing unto others as we would others do unto us, we look forward to your handing over the remote control for the decoder and TV for the upcoming soccer season which begins this Saturday 13th August 2016. Thank you Your loving boyfriends.
