RIO 2016: Ryan Lochte's Hair Tuns Green From Olympic Pool's Chlorine
The Team USA swimmer, as well as teammate
Jimmy Feigen , bleached their hair prior to
heading to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, but it
seems their hairstylist forgot to mention the
crucial fact that the chlorine would dye their hair
green! Lochte, who won a gold medal alongside
Michael Phelps in the 4x200m relay race,
showed how much his hair had transformed
since arriving in Rio while posing with their new
medals.
Even by following the photos on his Instagram,
Lochte inadvertently has shown the subtle
transition from platinum blonde to a pale shade
of green. While it might not be as green as The
Joker, Lochte's locks are becoming a look in
their own right. When he first decided to change
the hue of his hair, Lochte seemed eager to
show it off.
But now that he's won more gold medals,
perhaps he'll view his hair as a lucky charm—and
continue to do so should he choose to return to
the Olympic games in the future. Whether he
was doing it for team spirit or to woo the
women, we can't say, but we did know that
going into the games he was hoping to find
someone special!
"I've been matching up with a bunch of gorgeous
women who are smart, they have professional
jobs and everything," he told Cosmopolitan . "I'm
like, ‘Wow, this is perfect.' So I've been on Tinder
lately. So far I haven't had any dates or
anything. I've just been talking with a couple
[women]."
