'UGLIEST MAN IN ZIMBABWE' to hold in November

Despite difficulties in securing funds to sustain the pageant, organizers of Mr Ugly Zimbabwe have insisted that it will be held on November 25.

It was made known that this year is exceptional because a lot of sponsors have come on board and preliminary contests are ongoing in other regions before the main event.
“Mr Ugly pageant is on. The sponsors are there. We have active sponsors, who have come on board … Harare is big and has a lot of people, hence we are having contests in a number of suburbs,”
The founder of the pageant, David Machowa told local newspaper News Day. Mison Sere, the 2015 champion caused a wild uproar after he was crowned for the first time with other participants complaining that he was too handsome for the title.
The contest which gained popularity in 2012 was won on multiple occasions and for the first time that year by William Masvinu, who is a porter and the runner up in last year’s competition.

The 2015 champion Mison Sere won $500 and the runner up took home $100. Both of them have joined the preliminary content and hope to win this year.

Rio 2016 :Nigerian tennis star Aruna Quadri was on Tuesday, August 9 knocked out of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games by world number one, Long Ma.

Quadri has been impressive in the games ,  beating fifth seeded player Chih-Yuan Chuang in the third round and German Boll Timo in the fourth to make it to the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, he met world number one Ma who effectively put him off with a 4-0 win. Quadri started calmly but Ma dominated the game to dispatch the Nigerian in straight sets 11-4, 11-2, 11-6, 11-7. Ma outclassed Quadri in the first game and also dominated the second which Quadri got just two points. In the last two games, the Nigerian returned stronger but that wasn’t enough as Ma’s experience saw him through. The whole game lasted just 28 minutes. Ma will now face Jun Mizutani of Japan in the semifinals on Thursday, August 11.

Over the first 10 weeks of Billboard 's Songs of the Summer chart, the track has ranked at No. 1 each week. So, at about two-thirds of the way through summer, the collab, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 total weeks (and now ranks at No. 2) but was displaced by sia's' cheap thrills' ft.
